I’m so excited to share the news about a new project; Twist, The Art of Spinning by Hand. This is a curated art show, that celebrates the story, process and art of spinning yarn; and will be taking submissions from spinners from all over the world.
The past 6 weeks included 2 of the most epic events- YarnFest in Loveland Colorado, and PlyAway in Kansas City Missouri.
I am so excited because this weekend is the opening reception for the I Got a Beer art show, being put on by Cigar City Brewery in Tampa Fla.
I’m so excited because I’ve added 2 very special one day workshops to my Spring schedule, at a couple of my most favorite artist studios!
Sometimes, you can’t express your feelings in mere words. Sometimes, the only thing that can tell a story is spinning it into a yarn. These last couple months of presidential candidate rhetoric has inspired such spinning.
As I’m getting ready for my first trip of the year, I am so excited for all the adventures that are coming. I am traveling every month to teach SOMEWHERE! I’m also teaching some amazing workshops this year, including my Art Yarn 201- Expressive Yarn Design!
I can’t believe it’s just a couple weeks until the launch date of my new Craftsy class, Fiber Preparations for Spinning ( though it’s for felters and weavers too!)
It was so much fun returning to my beloved Lake Michigan coast for the Michigan Fiber Festival, last month. Though I may be on the other side of The Lake from Sweet Home Chicago, the Midwest love didn’t fail.
