What a summer it has been! Full of amazing of travels, yarn and fiber! HUGE Adventures around every corner. First I was in Copenhagen and Holland, and then only 3 weeks later, Vithard and I taught a cruise to the Bahamas!
I think I’ve said that I’m lucky. I have amazing friends that are creative and inspiring and wonderful teachers. Sometimes, I get the wonderful honor to co-teach with these amazing friends. My workshop in Holland was one of those times.
I’m lucky. I don’t take it for granted that my friends are spread far and wide, so when I “have” to go overseas to teach, I also get to mix in the fun of spending time with friends that I don’t see often enough (off my Skype screen).
I can’t believe it was already 3 weeks ago that I was enjoying the cool sunshine at Maryland Sheep and Wool! There’s so much coming this summer, the time is flying so quickly!
These last few weeks have been a whirlwind of color and fiber and driving and oysters. It was all so much fun, it made all the months of work prepping and the hard work it takes to do a huge show.. but it’s all worth it. Especially when you get a vacation included.
We always have a great time at SAFF in Asheville! This year was no different- in fact it was even BETTER than usual since we were joined by friends from Picasso’s Moon Yarn Shop and Carolina Fiber Company
YES, it’s for REAL! We’re heading out to SEA this Summer on a Fantasy Fiber Cruise! There are knitting cruises, spinning cruises, felting cruises. but never one that’s everything together- until NOW!
I can’t believe a full year has passed since the first Yarnival, at the Pluckyfluff Studio in the Boeger Vineyard Orchard. July brought me back to Hangtown, and back to Boeger for the second Yarnival! And what a celebration it was!
